Welcome to the homepage of the
Dartmouth Bioinformatics Shared Resource (BISR). Our mission
is
provide expert bioinformatics support to biomedical researchers in the
Norris-Cotton
Cancer Center, Dartmouth
Medical School, Dartmouth
College and the broader biomedical research community.
We provide a wide range of different services including
applied bioinformatics and data mining, computer programming and
software engineering, database development and programming and
high-performance computing and systems administration. We
look
forward to helping you plan, execute, analyze and interpret your next
biomedical research study.
News
October 30, 2008. The BISR has purchased a site license
for Pathway
Studio from Ariadne
Genomics.
Pathway Studio is a powerful database and software package
for
building and visualizing biochemical pathways from your genetic,
genomic or proteomic data analysis results. Contact us for an
account for your lab or if you would like us to perform a pathway
analysis of your data.
October 21, 2008. The BISR welcomes Senior Programmer Doug Hill, B.S.
to the team. Doug is an expert C++ programmer with
significant
skills in visualization methods. He is available to help you
with
your next computer programming or software engineering project.
October 13,
2008. The
DISCOVERY parallel computer cluster has exceeded 500 total processors
and is available for high-performance computing by BISR customers and
the Dartmouth community.
